LG Readies for Launch of New Dual-Screen 5G Smartphone at IFA
LG is set to launch its next flagship smartphone, likely named the V60 ThinQ, featuring dual screens and 5G support. Announced at IFA Berlin, the device promises innovative features like a flexible hinge and enhanced hardware, aiming to rival Samsung’s latest offerings. The phone will be available for pre-order soon after its reveal, targeting a wider market to strengthen LG’s position in the high-end smartphone industry.

LG Prepares to Launch Innovative Dual-Screen 5G Smartphone
At this year’s Mobile World Congress, LG introduced the V50 ThinQ, featuring a unique second-screen attachment that set it apart from competitors. Building on this innovation, LG is preparing to unveil its upcoming flagship, tentatively named the V60 or V60 ThinQ, anticipated to debut at the renowned Berlin-based IFA event in September. A teaser clip on LG's YouTube channel hints at a device with dual screens and gaming capabilities, suggestive of familiar features from the V50 model, including 5G connectivity and sophisticated hardware.
Speculations point to the new device featuring a Snapdragon 855 or Plus processor, water resistance, a triple rear camera setup, and possibly a 3.5mm headphone jack. The V60 ThinQ is also expected to incorporate LG’s innovative “free stop hinge,” allowing flexible positioning of the secondary display, similar to certain laptops.
LG aims to expand the reach of its latest flagship, competing with Samsung’s 5G Galaxy S10 and Note 10 series. Unlike the V50, which had limited release, LG plans a broader rollout for the V60 ThinQ, with pre-orders opening immediately after the unveiling event.
