Getting Started

Unlocking your Tesla Model 3 can be done via three methods: a mobile app, a $150 key fob, or a Tesla key card. The key card can be swiped on the B-pillar to lock or unlock. Using your phone or key fob, you simply walk to the car, press the handle, and open the door. If your device is within five feet, the vehicle auto-locks. Remote access is possible through the Tesla app or the key fob’s roof button.

Driving Experience

The Model 3's pedal is for speed control, not gas. Pressing it results in quick, silent acceleration, and releasing it triggers regenerative braking for energy recovery. A traditional brake pedal is also available for deceleration.
