At its annual Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung introduced its latest lineup of smartphones and accessories, setting new standards. The highlight was the arrival of the Galaxy S20 series, including S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra, alongside a range of budget-friendly devices and accessories.
Galaxy S20 Series
This new series boasts significant enhancements such as larger batteries, improved privacy features, AI-powered camera capabilities, a sharper display, and superior gaming performance. Notably, the Galaxy S20 Ultra features a sophisticated multi-lens camera system capable of 100x zoom.
Unique features include Space Zoom, 8K video recording, anti-rolling stabilization, and Single Take mode, which captures multiple photos and videos automatically. All models support 5G, giving Samsung an advantage with a 7-month lead over Apple’s anticipated 5G phones. Available from March 6, pricing starts above $1,000 depending on configurations.
Galaxy Buds+
Samsung also announced the Galaxy Buds+, wireless earbuds offering 11 hours of playback. Priced around $149, they are compatible with iOS devices, making them an attractive alternative to AirPods. Pre-orders begin February 14, with availability from March 6.
Z Flip
The San Francisco event previewed Samsung’s revamped foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip. Priced at approximately $1,380, it offers a stylish alternative to competitors like Motorola Razr.
